On Sunday, December 15th, I was honored to attend a water polo camp run by the Stanford University women’s water polo team. It was great to practice with peer-level athletes and those who attend ODP camps to up my game. The Stanford Avery Aquatic Center is an amazing facility. The Stanford coaches were fantastic, and Stanford women’s team members assisted. It was also inspiring to meet young women who have achieved in academics and athletics.
I flew home to prepare for a week of final exams at Corona del Mar High School, have attended pool and weightlifting practice, and look forward to helping my team continue our undefeated record against San Clemente High School.
I will have just enough time to pack my bags and ILCA gear and fly to Miami on December 20th for the annual Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta. My sister Isa will sail Snipes with our friend and top-ranked women’s single-handed champion from Portugal, Luisa Perez.
I will have updates from the regatta next week.
